The "Yue Jiang Yue Lek" Cantonese Workshop, organized by the Shenzhen Federation of Trade Unions Consultation Service Center and co-organized by the Hong Kong Higher Education Promotion Association, recently commenced at the Futian Federation of Trade Unions, providing a platform for Cantonese learning and communication for Hong Kong families living in Shenzhen.

The workshop's curriculum is designed around the practical daily needs of Hong Kong families, covering everyday conversations, Cantonese phonetics, common expressions, and local culture. In addition to language learning, the classes incorporate situational exercises and interactive activities to help participants improve their Cantonese communication skills and gain a deeper understanding of the cultural traditions, festive customs, and cultural heritage of Guangdong and Hong Kong.

During the course, Ms. Kwok Tsz Fuk, President of the Hong Kong Higher Education Promotion Association, attended the workshop and interacted with participants and parents. She stated that Cantonese is an important communication tool in daily life across Guangdong and Hong Kong, and expressed her hope that participants could better integrate into life in Shenzhen and adapt to their learning and working environments through systematic language study. Hong Kong families interested in learning Cantonese may also contact the Shenzhen Federation of Trade Unions Consultation Service Center for information about courses and consultation services.

The workshop consists of four sessions focusing on Cantonese learning, cross-regional communication, and cultural integration. The Hong Kong Higher Education Promotion Association will continue to support relevant charitable language programs, providing practical and accessible learning resources and services for Hong Kong families.
